Tart and sweet.
My name is Kelsey. I'm twenty. I make art and go to art school because I think painting feels nice. I am orderly, a perfectionist, self-reliant, passive-aggressive, and secretly pretty competitive. I often think about roles, authenticity, and absurdity. I'm "in" love for the fifth year in a row.
My separate Tumblr for my artwork can be accessed by clicking the "My Art" button below.

On school days my classes start at 8:30am or 12:30pm. I get up and start getting ready for the day at 10am at the latest. Every day I get home from school at about 7pm. After I get home I eat and usually work on homework and art or clean from 8pm until 9 or 10 sometimes later. If I have no work or resist cleaning that time is spent relaxing in bed. I usually let my work pile up for the weekends. Friday through Sunday I spend doing homework stopping only for food and to enjoy some time with Christopher. This weekend in my workload I already have a Master Study for Figure Drawing, 3 pieces of watercolor paper I need to stretch, a couple abstract paintings on panel, 7 sculptures of a Nutella jar made out of 7 different materials, and a still life to paint. I know people that have way more work than that.
…I don’t think I’d prefer it any other way, but still… seeing “Mehhh, I have to write a paperrrr and study for testssss,” on my Facebook feed makes me want to comment, “That’s cute, poor you.” It really has me wondering why I call large state colleges “real.”

This was high school for me….
I wish this weren’t so true.
